Last housekeeping post?
Still setting up here, but we’re getting there. Easy to sit and rag on the shows while trapped under a baby or a nebulizer or a pile of laundry while watching, but connecting pen to paper … not so much.
Meantime, I’ve been watching a few new things, including something curiously named Wow, Wow, Wubsy. The alliteration is intriguing; and it sounds like they had a lot of fun pulling the bible together. Makes me curse the day I listened to some darn “professional writer” who assured me that “kids don’t like silly names, they won’t take you seriously”. Imagine if Dr Seuss had listened to his critics? Not that these guys are Dr Seuss, but they seem to be having fun.
I’ve also managed, thanks to the wonder that is the Internet, figure out why Wubsy’s tail is so mesmerizing (click link, safe for work[youtube.com]). I grew up with cats, and to me that’s the international sign of “don’t look away” … much like a snake’s sway, I imagine. I’m awfully big to be prey … but I can’t look away. So, I won’t be looking away, and we’ll be getting things in gear soon. Thanks!
